larger than the number of people who have access to computers mobile phones and tablets have outsold computers and laptops for years now mobile marketing is critical for any successful marketing strategy people carry the mobile phones with them most of the time so news updates alerts and notifications can be sent to and received by customers and target groups instantaneously and as always the technology is SMS or texting can still be used as a direct marketing tool it’s also good for generating leads scheduling meetings follow-ups and things like that mobile marketing often requires customer response or opt-ins for further communications there for its mobile originated mobile lessons contract user responds immediately promotions advertisements and stories can be sent as text images audio or video in the past mobile phones had a difficult time with anything but the simplest text-based content today many mobile devices are more capable than their owners laptops with mobile apps users can easily recommend your product or service to friends and family giving those messages in the Mint’s viral marketing potential with apps that have GPS integrated into one user locations can be tracked with the users permission this ensures that people get geo specific information and services which are more relevant to them mobile devices are used by people who remote locations as well so you can reach more people than only using desktop and laptop dependent ad platforms while microblogging platforms like Twitter and Tumblr seem to have flatlining user base they can still be used to send messages of our products and sales but they also can be used to generate user response and assist with your SEO but looking forward you need to assume that video will be the most effective platform for your brand’s message on sites like Instagram Facebook Linkedin and YouTube integrating mobile shopping and payments into your mobile enabled website and apps can also make purchasing processes quick and hassle-free generating increased sales for you and your brand before starting your mobile marketing effort it’s critical that you establish a set of goals for your brand the goals can include things like product introductions customer service branding handling complaints and mobile shopping to make the best of the advantages of mobile marketing that have been talking about here consider the following you need to be multi platforming this involves creating different versions of the same message and content pieces for different platforms like desktop versus mobile tablet vs. phones search and social ads vs. organic content things like that this will ensure that your message is sent to more people and if the message is formatted correctly for each platform this encourages more engagement on a platform by platform basis create a mobile app which can be downloaded on both Android and iOS ask the users to rate and review your app this will help the app show up in the results in the app store that it’s put that it’s hosted on make sure that your app has an authenticated payment system to avoid any fraud claims integrate the most relevant social media platforms to spread your message to a wide range of audiences each platform has its strengths and weaknesses learn about them Facebook is going to squeeze your message till it reaches the minimal number of people forcing you to pay for access and to give their internal ad platform Twitter’s growth is slowing so it’s best not to put too many of your eggs in that basket LinkedIn has a smaller user base in the previous two but LinkedIn is hungry for social engagement so they’re most likely to actively promote your post to like-minded people on the platform in Instagram well the futures Instagram right now provide regular updates info entertainment promos deals and shout outs to users without inundating them with too many Scelzi messages you can do this by establishing an editorial calendar for these updates that include submitting messages to different platforms on different days of the week again this is a critical point you need to have a mix of content that includes a majority of education entertainment and informational content along with your sales content you generally want to shoot for one message out of five being a transactional or sales message that’s going to be a good place to start you can also plan to introduce in-app mobile marketing which will target customers who are already interested in the products as well as people who stumble upon it through the app again be careful with this approach though don’t get too aggressive or you’re going to turn their fans off and they’re gonna leave in droves they’ve got no tolerance for too many sales do not send media files with MMS link to media files in the SMS text message if it’s necessary to send images or video in your marketing users who do not have unlimited mobile data plans are not going to appreciate you eating up their data without their consent push notifications or messages displayed on top of the screen are also still growing popularity but high risk these technologies are hit or miss when it comes to implementation they consumer response I would probably shy away from those for right now different techniques like using AI voice assisted search and QR codes are also being used to minimize search hassles and to increase the engagement with users if you need help sorting all this out you can leave a comment on the on the video here and let me know what your question is and I’ll do what I can to help you out with it or at least point you in the right direction hey thanks again I hope you learned a thing or two in the last few minutes if you didn’t get a chance before
