video I’m gonna give you five tips on how to keep your marketing emails from

let’s go ahead and get into today’s video got an important video here for
you today I’m gonna show you five tips on how to keep your marketing emails
from going into spam when you send them out to your subscriber list okay so
let’s go ahead and get into these tips here that I’ve come up with to help you
so this doesn’t happen so you get more of a better open rate you get a higher
click-through rate and so on and so forth in your marketing emails okay
alright so what we’ve done here is I’ve done a little bit of research and come
up with these tips here that’ll help us this step this is good for me too I need
to learn this myself as well but 5 tips keep the marketing emails from going to
spam now tip number one here is you’re either from name and address how often
do you read emails from people or businesses you don’t immediately
recognize and you probably delete them or marking the spam so it goes over in
your your spam box or filter yeah on your mail program or whatnot the from
name section of your email is meant for just that it’s a name so you want to
keep it simple in user name or your company’s name or your brand name
to avoid spam television your name and email address should do two things okay
it should mark make your identity clearer by stating either your name or
your company or brand name as I said and avoid address is like no reply at my
business comm you always want to have a reply a good email that they can reply
to in case they want they have any questions or whatever something without
a decent or working email address such as the no reply at my business comm
something along that line that’s a clear flag that will could cause your mails to
get thrown over into someone’s spam filter and not make it to your customer
or your recipient okay so that’s one thing to remember there you want to make
sure that you use a good from name and address a good email address that that
that they can also contact one that that’s working all right because the
spam filters are particularly Google now this is gonna a lot of people public
majority of the people in the world use Google Mail or Gmail and their Google is
known for following the kam spam laws they’re looking for things they got they
got some algorithms in their email platform or there is as males come
through their network it’ll just kick males right off into the spam you know
we’ll never make it to your recipients or to your customers okay so one thing
to remember is you make sure you get a good name who it’s from with a good
reliable email address okay that’s tip number one now tip number two here is
hyperlinks when you’re sending emails make sure to never send out a raw a raw
you are L or all linked or public don’t use public URL shortener such as bitly
or or there’s other ones out there I can’t
think of them right now but anywhere anywhere you use link shorteners don’t
put those into your emails your because well one thing already
most email service providers that’s what ESP stands for here they have they
already have so much tracking because like you know like for example Aweber or
Infusionsoft Constant Contact builder all such as the one I use builder own
platform they all attach certain tracking links
to these emails anyway so that you can come back to the platform and see how
many were open how many made it through passed the spam to them and if there
were any click-through rates where they’ve clicked links on your in your
emails and went to either your offers or your website or whatnot okay so don’t
send out raw links in there instead and don’t use link shorteners in there
there’s another way to do this down here I’ll give an example of how to do this
and then it says the way your email service provider actually tracks links
link tax link clicks is first by redirecting your contacts to another URL
so they can be counted before sending them to your intended recipient or your
link that means that your email sending reputation gets lumped in along with
every other sender who sends links to these domains which in spammers are
included in this also and a simple solution is to use a hyperlink with
anchor text that clearly describes the destination of the link this is also
much more much more attractive option than using the straight-up raw lengths
or URLs addresses and I’ve given an example down here of actually what
happens to how they use a anchor text and I use these two words right here
attractive option as an end of this example this is actually how it’s done
right here you can do this manually or most autoresponder services
will have a simple point-and-click in other words you’ll highlight the words
you want to use to put the link on or under is the correct way a correct term
for that and then you simply click the link attribute in the edit there in the
editor when you’re editing your emails and it’ll open up and give you an
opportunity to paste your link in there and then just click apply and boom it
sets the the words as that link okay but this is actually this in the in my
example I give you right here this is actually what’s taking place underneath
if you wanted to do this and manually yourself this is how you would do that
and I just used my website here as an example so I’m using these two words and
I’m anchoring my website address freedom motivator calm to these two words so you
don’t see the HTTP colon forward slash forward slash freedom motivator com
what you see is at active option and then you just have words connected to it
like if you’d like to see more about this click here or click attractive
option something like that in your wording and then it would that by
clicking those words that simply just linked over to your website or your
offer or your landing page or whatever it is that you’re sending them to right
okay so that’s that’s actually what’s happening underneath and you can do this
all maintenance and that’s exactly how to format it right there that’s how you
would set up an anchor text link to words and linking your link to any words
or any sentence it can be one word can be a whole sentence can be a whole
paragraph can be a picture and it just goes on from there you can make about
anything on the Internet and this is the format that you use to do it if you’re
doing it manually this is exactly how you would do it alright now let’s talk a
little bit about can and the government that set up so that
because people years ago were complaining so much about getting so
much spam and then you’ve seen it over the years where it’s it’s just gotten
more and more security online to keep so much spam from reaching people’s inboxes
and stuff because there were so many people complaining about it
well back in 2003 United States government passed a law make sending
unsolicited email illegal but it still allows for unsolicited mail to be sent
under these conditions here the sender’s physical address is listed in the footer
of the message now most of your autoresponders if you’re using an
autoresponder in your marketing to send mails like welcome emails and any kind
of email sequence to your subscribers yeah the autoresponder services are
required by law to have your address that’s why when you sign up for any
autoresponder you’re going to be required to put your physical address
into the system so then they can attach that to the bottom of the emails so ok
and then by law your address has to be there now it could be it can be your
your name you can use your company name your branding name whatever but there
has to be an actual address there of where you’re located at in each in each
email it goes out alright and you want to make sure of that to know sometimes
it may not show up there you just want them always check that and make sure
that the the your address is at the bottom of the mail there okay make sure
there’s no confusing or misleading subject lines and and make sure there’s
a clear and accurate from name which we spoke about up here and tip number one
right you know make sure that you’ve got a an accurate from name either your name
or your a business or company name and branding name in
and again you wanna make sure there’s a good reliable email address in case they
want to reply back that’s that’s that’s a definite for sure thing that you want
to make sure you have that in your emails okay just repeating myself again
there but just make sure these things are important if you want your mails to
make it through to your recipients your subscribers you definitely want to we
definitely want to pay attention here okay all right so this is the can-spam
act of 2003 one and this is what they’re what the laws are now let’s come down to
tip number three here excuse me unsubscribing options you want to make
sure that all your emails now auto here again Auto responders are required by
law to have it in the footer of the email there has to be an unsubscribe
link there and it will be there if it’s not there you need to make sure that it
is before you send out your emails okay but but you know and this is kind of a
positive thing about this believe it or not to have the unsubscribe button is an
email markers best friend and the reason why is when contacts click the
unsubscribe button at the bottom your emails in the footer there they’re
telling you that they’re not interested in what you’re sending with them off of
your list if they unsubscribe don’t look at unsubscribing as a bad thing it’s
actually a good thing okay your average email engagement rate will
improve because those people that want your emails are going to stay on your
list right they’re going to stay there if you’re providing good value and in in
good you know quality emails to them on a regular basis they’ll stay but if they
haven’t subscribed that’s fine it just makes it better for you okay and you’re
going to probably constantly marketing anyway and getting you know getting more
subscribers all the time anyway so don’t you know don’t feel bad if people want
to subscribe from your list it happens all the time and that’s okay but anyways
with them off your list averaging email engagement rate will improve which in
turn will improve your placement in the inbox by showing the ISPs
that people want to contact that would be their internet service provider see
so not only will Google or in any other like Yahoo or or Bing or whatever if
anybody has email addresses through them MSN hotmail whatever kicked these
messages into spam for certain reasons also your internet people’s Internet
service provider who provides them with an email address will also it have they
have spam filters to okay and it can catch certain things too so there’s
certain things just need to pay attention to here to send in your emails
so that that doesn’t happen okay and so yeah don’t don’t worry about
unsubscribes it’s okay if they don’t want to be there that’s fine there’s
others that do that’s the way I look at it anyway all right now tip number four
you want to avoid certain words in your emails in your in your email button in
the body of your email the word the paragraphs are just writing the message
that you’re sending you on void words like make lots of money guaranteed to
make money or guaranteed to make lots of money business opportunity money-making
opportunities or opportunity things along that line words along that line
have to do with making lots of money or something along that line those lines
you want to leave those type of words out of your emails instead here’s a
better way to do it and it kind of gets it gets the same message across but only
without using direct words like that to tip off spam filters or you know ISPs to
spam mail and Google and that kind of thing
rather use something along line like for example check out my link where I show
you how you can succeed with this endeavor that will more than likely get
through the spam filter because there’s no keywords there the tip them off to
you know toss that mail into into spam it’s an it gets across the same message
that you want them to check out your offer
to make some money or your business opportunity and so on and so forth
and it gets across that same message but without using those direct words that
would tip off the spam filters okay so that’s that’s a pretty important
thing now you want to be a careful of the certain words that you’re using in
your mail keep your mail so it’s so it’s so it’s leading to what you want them to
do but or the offer that you want them to see but worded in such a way even if
you have to use a whole two sentences to get it across but worded in a certain
way and then put your link in anchor text like I showed you back up here
before you want to use your user anchor text instead of using straight up links
in there make sure you anchor text the link okay
so just be careful of the words that you’re using in your mails to this so
don’t tip off the spam filters and then kick your mails into their spam folder
that way too it’s not right now last tip tip number
five which is okay to do here you want you tell them normally in your welcome
email when you send a welcome email to a to a new subscriber you want to make
sure that you tell them in the in the mail to make sure that they whitelist
your email too so it doesn’t go into their black mail or their spam or
whatever tell them to whitelist your email
address so that you’re sure to always get those okay that’s a big one too
that’ll help get people or your people will receive your mails okay so it’s
okay to do that make sure that you tell them to explain to them to whitelist
your email address or your company’s email address or whatever in their email
program or at their server where the emails come through if there’s a spam
filter there as well okay alrighty guys so that’s the five tips that I wanted to
give you today here and all of these are important when you’re marketing with
