DC Marketing Consultant [How to] Online Marketing Series| Part 1 of 4

Hello and welcome to the first video in this
Google Marketing Tool Box series. I am Business and Marketing Consultant Cinnamon McCann.
I am going to show you why all online marketing efforts for your business must start with
Google and what you can do to increase your online exposure for your business. In this video we are going to go over how
the Google Keyword Planner is critical when increasing your online exposure. Have you ever taken the time to create a blog
post, an online course, YouTube video, website or any type of online content, only to realize
that only a handful of people see it? Well that’s where the Google Keyword Planner comes
in. When people search for products or services,
they go online. Check around, yellow page, print ads, radio and even tv ads are at an
all time low and are continuing to go lowers. Now businesses, regardless of their size can
put their company in front of a highly targeted prospective customers and accurately track
their results unlike the above mentioned soon-to-be-archaic forms of advertising. The Google Keyword Planner gives you an idea
as to how many people are searching for a particular topic or keyword. It’s important
to use this tool when creating any online content or attempting to rank your website. To access the Google keyword planner simply
login with your Gmail account and type in the keywords that you were interested in ranking
for and examine the results. If you are a local business and you want to
conduct your research, be sure to add your local area to get a better idea as to what
people are searching for in your local area. For example, lets say your company replaces
windows and you research the keywords “window replacement” and you see that many people
search for it globally. But you don’t want to replace windows clear across the other
side of the world. You only want local customers so you need to see what the searches are for
your local area. When looking for keywords consider keywords
people use when they are ready to buy. Rather than keywords people search for when
they are simply searching for more education on a particular topic. To take things further, you can even use the
Display Planner to get more demographic information on web searchers. Here you can get a general idea as to the
age range, gender and even what platform used when searching. None of this is an exact science
but it will help you estimated gage of demographics that are important when you are marketing
your business. Now In the next video in this search I will
go over the importance of incorporating and understanding Google Analytics when marketing
your business online. If you are watching this on YouTube, don’t
