ECommerce Email Marketing Strategies For Black Friday Weekend 2019

ECommerce Email Marketing Strategies For Black Friday Weekend 2019

– Tons of companies will
be sending emails during the Black Friday weekend. So, how do you stand out from the crowd? Keep watching to hear three
strategies you should consider in order to take advantage
of this holiday weekend and stand out from the competition. (upbeat music) (dog barking) Welcome guys, to the
ECommerce Marketer & Barketer. I’m Kara, this our star
barketer of the day, Hazel, and today I’ll be
covering three strategies to consider to help you stand out from the competition during Black Friday, Small Business Saturday,
Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday, and whatever other
crazy holidays there are to convince people to
shop during that time. Let’s get into it. So the first strategy I want to share is notifying your best customers a week before about a
special offer exclusive to them during the holiday weekend. Not only are you giving them a treat or nurturing your loyal customers
and creating excitement, but this will also keep your
best customers on the lookout for your emails in their
inbox when the time comes. This way, they’re likely
to prioritize your emails over your competitors that didn’t send them
similar offers a week before. The second strategy should be done before the Black Friday Weekend, but you should A/B test your subject lines to determine what your
audience is most receptive to and use those types of subject lines for your Black Friday weekend emails. Again, there’s going to be tons of emails hitting your leads inbox and most likely trying
to get their attention with cheap tricks of subject
lines barking at them or having tons of emojis
or exclamation points. Be a smart marketer, or barketer, and don’t assume that
what everyone is doing will work for you. Take time to test what
type of subject lines, tone, personalization, et
cetera, works for your audience, and stick to using those
types of subject lines for your Black Friday weekend emails. Lastly, if you haven’t already, prep those abandoned cart
emails for the holiday weekend. Because online shoppers are
probably dropping all kinds of items into their cart, excited about that
half-off Casper dog bed, that buy two organic dog
shampoos get two free deal, or that free dog treat shooter
with any purchase over $30. They may go to their
cart later and realize, well, they may have gone
overboard on the shopping and not purchase right then. There’s still an opportunity
to remind shoppers about their items left in
their virtual shopping cart, where maybe they won’t
get that Casper dog bed, but just buy $30 worth of products to get that free dog treat shooter. Guilty. So there’s huge opportunity
during the holiday weekend to recapture and remind shoppers to purchase those items they
left in their virtual cart, so make sure you prep those abandoned cart emails ahead of time. Now, if you want to learn more about building abandoned
cart email campaigns or other campaigns that
will turn your leads into longtime customers, we’ll actually be hosting
a webinar on November 20th, where I, as well as our
Marketing Strategist, Marianne, will be walking you
through three essential, eCommerce email campaigns and
how to build these in HubSpot. So if you’re interested, check out the link in the
description box for more details, or if you can’t make it, and you’re seeing this
video past the date, still check out the link to
request your webinar recording. That’s it for today guys, but thanks for watching and
make sure to catch us next week for more eCommerce marketing
tips and strategies with the ECommerce Marketer & Barketer. Where maybe they won’t
get that Casper dog bed, but just buy $30 worth of products and get that free dog shooter, guilt. Dog shooter, oh my God. Dog treat shooter. Let me say that again. Oh, that would’ve been bad. Dog treat shooter.
