How to present International Signed items
(PPI) Hi I’m Ann Marie from the Royal Mail Business
Support Centre, and I’m going to show you how to present your International Signed items.
Apply the International 1st class PPI logo to each of your items. And add a blue airmail
sticker – you can hand write this if you don’t have any.
Next complete the address fields and service tick boxes in your despatch book
Apply a barcode label to the front of your items.
You will need to peel the two small reference stickers and apply them to your despatch book.
Peel off the long barcode sticker and apply here.
Do this for the rest of your mail then add the total number of items and bags then sign
and date Next, separate your items by EU and Rest of
the World and then by format. For items being mailed outside the EU which
have a commercial value or contain goods or gifts you will need to add a customs label.
Bundle each pile of items and place into bags by EU and the Rest of the World. Keep your
International Signed mail separate from all the other types of mail you are sending.
If you are sending International Business Mail, present your bag sealed with a completed
Bag Label If you are sending international Non contractual
mail or handing your mail into a Post Office – present your bag unsealed.
When you hand over your International Signed mail with any relevant paperwork – have your
despatch book available and ready to be signed.
