Hello everyone welcome to my new business vlog, today I will talk to you about how to use email marketing to upgrade your business. We all have emails right? With all social media going on but still email is a great way to directly reach your customers. But make sure you are not spamming them so I will give you five tips today about how to use email marketing to upgrade your business. First step choose an email client. So you can use free email client such as Mail Chimp that was the one that I used for a long time but I switched to a paid one Aweber that’s what I use now, and there are multiple ones of course You can choose from but I chose for a paid model now, Because I also want to send automated emails You can really create like mini eCourse or a mini follow-up series with such a paid client That’s also what I like is to give my audience some more information. Second thing choose your target group. So you are in business you have a customer base. Maybe multiple types of customers so maybe you could also create multiple segments, multiple lists in your email client so that you know if you customers between 15 and 24 years old you can email them but if you have got the customers who are 40 years or older you can email them specifically with with your products or services. So choose your target group well. Third, what content will you use Well I choose to use as few words as possible in my emails because people don’t like to read a lot you know you get email you just scan through it and you are like okay can this help me in this moment or not so I try to provide them with clickable links I always put like a video vlog in my email so that people can you know watch something or put a short piece of my blog and then if they want to read more they can click on read more and go to my website. The fourth questions is what frequencies should you use. It really depends on your market I use a frequency of once a month because I think that works but I’m also like experimenting with it I have now I have two email lists one is for my English audience for you know everyone and one is for my book at my book joyful ondernemen is written in Dutch so that email list is also in the Dutch language For the latter one I tried to experiment and give a lot of value from my book so it’s not that like structured in the way I email but my main email is ‘Inspiration for entrepreneurs’ and is really like a monthly scoop like the beginning of each month you get my email so if you want to you can also sign up. My fifth tip for you is you should have a call to action in your emails because, you want people to do something with your message with what you are sending them you want them to think about something, you want them you want to help them solve a problem which you have the solution for so you want them to do something so really include a call to action that’s also a little bit of my struggle right now Sometimes I have like multiple call to actions but you should really focus on one call to action so that people can follow through on that and you can really direct them to the best solution.
