Join My Newfound Marketing Mastermind Group


– I wanna take time to talk to you guys today about a group that I’ve recently started on Facebook, and it’s called the Newfound
Marketing Mastermind group. We called it the Newfound
Marketing Mastermind group because the whole group is about, how do we find new ways
to market ourselves? Technology’s always changing, so we didn’t want to call ourselves the social media mastermind group, we didn’t want to call ourselves the digital marketing mastermind group, paid marketing, et cetera, et cetera. We wanted to call ourselves the Newfound Marketing
group, Mastermind group, so we could kind of, as time evolves, and as things evolve, with
our marketing challenges, everything, kind of like,
this is the new way to do it. So typically what we do in this group is Monday through Friday
we would pick one topic and we would stay true to that topic, and we would only talk about
that topic during the day. However the group has evolved, we’ve had a lot of new
people join the group. And the feedback that I’ve
recently posted on the weekend is that we wanna have more topics, we wanna be able to talk more openly about the challenges that we have. So, what we’ve done is, we’ve kind of changed up the group a little bit. The current structure is we’ve got on Monday, we talk about
Facebook marketing, and we talk about metrics or analytics. Very important topics, especially here, I’m coming at you from Facebook Live. So people wanna know, how do
I improve more organic reach, what’s the best way to use my images? So these are things that we talk about on Facebook on Monday. And then we also began talking yesterday about metrics, so like,
how often are you checking your Google Analytics account? Are you looking at your Facebook insights, are you looking at your Twitter insights? We have so much data
that’s available to us now, and wanna make sure that
everyone has the option to look at that data and make choices to make smarter marketing choices. So we’ve added that topic on Mondays. On Tuesdays, we’ve kind of blended Twitter and we’ve added video
marketing, which is brand new, a brand new topic for us on
the video marketing side. So what we’re doing today, we’re actually talking about
Twitter video marketing and how are you gonna
incorporate more video marketing into your Twitter account in 2017, because let’s be honest, some of us spent the last six, seven,
eight years in building really good followings on Twitter, and now we’re seeing
kind of a lot more spam. So it’s nice to see that
Twitter has actually changed things up by
introducing live video to compete with Facebook
Live, Instagram Live, and I’m sure in the very near future, we’re gonna see Snapchat Live as well. So that’s what we talk about on Tuesdays. Twitter marketing and
then video marketing. So this includes, like, if
you wanna be a YouTuber, how do you start a YouTube account, what equipment do you need, how do you get people to
subscribe to your account, how do you edit things? So this is the things that
we talk about on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays we talk about Instagram. And, come on, 2016 has certainly
been the year of Instagram. It has been, the platform has
changed a lot over the year, for me I think it’s probably the platform that I’ve kind of leaned a
little bit more towards lately, and then I kinda lean back to Facebook, and then come back over to Twitter. So we talk about Instagram on Wednesdays, and then we’ve also introduced
a new topic on Wednesdays that I think you would really enjoy, or if you don’t enjoy, maybe
you know someone else who does, so definitely share this video and let them know about
the group that we have. And that topic is called How Can I. And it’s exactly that. So, if you’ve got a current challenge, and you’re looking to, how
can I grow my Facebook page? Or how can I grow my Twitter account? How can I get more
people to open my emails? How can I get more people
to watch my videos? So this is what we’re gonna
begin doing on Wednesday. So tomorrow is the first day
that we’re gonna do that. So, if you’re not already
a part of the group, I’m gonna leave a comment below

discussion in How Can I. And then on Thursday, we’ve kind of mixed it up
a little bit on Thursday. And what we’ve included now is the option for people to talk about your website. And also graphic design. I think a lot of people
focus so much attention on their social media
accounts that we’re not thinking about their website
and the changes that we need. But we have to remember that our websites are really the backbone
of the marketing plans that we kind of have right now, so it’s important to
get your website right. So when I have those discussions, so if your site’s built
on WordPress or Shopify, if it’s a custom build,
Thursday is your day. Come over and have a chat, and let us know what your challenges are. I’m sure there’s a lot
of really smart people in the group and they can
certainly help you out with that. On Friday we talk about
search engine optimization, and we also talk about the
paid digital marketing space. So that would include your Google AdWords, your Facebook sponsored ads,
your Instagram sponsored ads, your Twitter sponsored ads,
your LinkedIn sponsored ads. It would also include
your display marketing, anything where you pay for your media, will be in your topic for discussion, or one of the topics for
discussion on Fridays. And then what we’ve done on Saturdays, really is that we’ve kind of
left that as an open topic. So if there’s any other
channels that we’re missing, so maybe it’s a new and
up and coming channel, Saturday is your day for that. So typically what we do is we just leave it as an open topic, and
anything you wanna discuss, you go ahead and you discuss it. On Saturday we’re also
going to incorporate in this group as the group
moves on, is we’re gonna have possibly an advice on. So if you need advice on something, we’re gonna incorporate that probably once a month on Saturdays. And then what we’re also gonna do is that, if you want to collaborate with someone, we’re also gonna add that to
the discussion on Saturdays. There’s a lot of great
people in the group, fantastic discussions, so
that’s the way Saturday works. And then on Sunday, what
we’ve done on Sunday, is that basically Sunday
is your day to disconnect. There’s no engagement
in the group on Sunday. The whole goal is get out there. Spend time with your family,
spend time with your friends. If you do have a side
project that you work on, go work on that. But we want at least one
day a week to be able to disconnect from what we’re doing. And that day for us is
gonna be on Sundays. So no discussions on Sundays. So, that’s it for me, I just wanted to kind of let
you know about the group. I guess one last thing is that, I’ve been a member of a
number of Facebook groups, and, you know, some of these groups have 10, 15, 20,000 people, other
groups have 50 or 500 or 1,000. I don’t know if I’ve
seen a group that engages as much as this group. People respond very open
with sharing their knowledge, which is the goal of the group, is to be able to share what
you know with other people so that everyone can grow. People are writing paragraphs of comments, and really helping each other out, and I want that group to grow, and I want you to be a part of it. ‘Cause if you’re on my page, there is a good chance
that you have a blog that you’re up and running. So whether that’s a travel blog, or a mommy blog, or a fitness blog, or any type of blog that exists at all. Or maybe you’re part of a one
or two person marketing team and you’ve got so many
things that you need to do, well, this is the group for you. You definitely wanna come over and have a look at this group. There’s so many skillsets,
we’ve got people that are super heavy in Instagram,
people that are super heavy into videos, people that
are super heavy into SEO, web design, graphic
design, Facebook marketing. You name it in the marketing space, and you can find someone in the group that can probably answer your questions.
