Hi, I’m Theo the Programme Leader for the MSc Digital Marketing here at the University of the West of Scotland. This unique programme, addresses three main issues that make it distinctive. Firstly, the degree is focused on developing creative creative and critical thinkers. Our students will develop higher order skill sets that make them future digital innovators. Secondly, it gives students the practical and professional skills they need in order to succeed in a highly competitive field of digital marketing. For example, our students will gain skills in online metrics, promotional campaigns, social media management content media management while at the same time, will learn about additional principles of marketing strategy. Finally, this creative, critical and practical aspects of the MSc Digital Marketing see our students develop online assessments that will function as a digital portfolio. This will enhance the employability of our students and distinguish them from others in the marketplace. The MSc in Digital Marketing is now in partnership with Digital Marketing Institute – DMI – and the Industry Advisory Council consisting of Google, Facebook, Twitter LinkedIn and Microsoft amongst others. Prospective applicants who complete the MSc Digital Marketing will have the opportunity to receive in addition, an internationally and industry recognised digital marketing qualification in addition to the degree upon completion of the final exam. There are three routes of study including innovative work learning routes which enables students to combine working in the digital marketing sector with undertaking study.
